Privacy
StockIt runs locally on your computer and works with your existing browser session. Your retailer login stays on your device.
What never reaches us
Your Target password, your Target session or cookies, your card or payment details, your address, and the contents of your cart. None of these is sent to StockIt, and there is nowhere in StockIt that could hold them. The desktop application opens the retailer's own page in your own browser; everything after that happens between you and the retailer.
What we hold
Your email address and how you signed in. Which products you are watching, and the limits you set on them. A record of the alerts we sent you. If you subscribe, a customer and subscription identifier from our payment provider — the card is entered on their page and we never see it.
The Browser Companion
The optional browser extension runs only on Target pages. It reads whether you are signed in, whether the product page open is the one your Mission is about, and whether the item is in your cart. It sends that to the StockIt application on the same computer, over your browser's native messaging. It sends nothing to any server — it contains no network code at all — and it reads no other site.
The diagnostic log
StockIt keeps a few hundred lines on your computer about what it did: that it started, its version, whether the stream connected, whether the companion is present. It holds no credential, no token, no cookie and no signed message. It stays on your machine unless you send it to us.
Your data
You can export everything we hold about you, and delete your account, from your account page. Deleting removes your watchlist, your Missions and your alert history.
