StockIt runs on your computer. Most of what goes wrong is visible from inside the application, on This computer.
Send us something useful first
Open StockIt, go to This computer, and use Copy support information. It carries the version, whether the browser companion is connected, and whether monitoring is running — and nothing about your account, your login, or your payment details. If StockIt will not start at all, Open log folder from the same page: the log holds a few hundred lines about what this computer did, and nothing you would mind us reading.
The Browser Companion says Setup needed
Press Set up. That registers StockIt with Chrome or Edge, which needs no administrator and changes no browser setting. The second half is yours: browsers refuse to let software install extensions on your behalf, so open the extension folder StockIt shows you, turn on Developer mode on your browser's extensions page, and choose Load unpacked.
It is optional. Missions set to Alert me never need it, and Assist me still confirms the restock and opens the product page without it — what it loses is StockIt being able to see where you are in the checkout.
The Browser Companion says Not responding
The extension is installed and has gone quiet. Open or reload your Target tab. If it stays quiet, restart the browser.
A Mission has not fired
That is usually the correct answer: StockIt only tells you about a restock it has read twice, from a first-party listing, at or under the maximum price you set. A reseller listing above your limit is a real listing and not one you asked to be interrupted for. Your Mission shows the limit it is using, and you can change it at any time.
What StockIt will not do
It does not add anything to your cart, fill a form, join or skip a queue, answer a challenge, or place an order. You complete the purchase yourself, at the retailer. There is no setting that changes this.
Still stuck
Reply to any StockIt email with your support information attached and what you expected to happen. If it is about a specific Mission, the product name and roughly when you expected it is enough for us to find it.
